usual salary, because we are persuaded that it is founded upon the
clearest Principles of Justice & Equity, as well as confirmed by the
Authority of Numerous, uninterrupted, reasonable, and the most
explicit Precedents.

Ordered that the Clerk of this House receive the same Fees on all
private Bills passed this Session as are allowed by the Lower House
to their Clerk.

A Bill by Mess..rs Bealle and Hall entitled an Act for limiting
the Time for sinking the Paper Bills of Credit now Current in this
Province and for other Purposes therein mentioned.

Read the first & second Time in the Lower House & will pass.

Read the first & second Time by especial Order in this House &
will pass, so endorsed & sent by Daniel Dulany Esquire.

Daniel Dulany and John Ridout Esquires are sent to the Lower
House to acquaint the Speaker that his Excellency requires his im-
mediate Attendance with the Lower House to see the Bills passed
both Houses this Session receive the Assent.

The Lower House attend & by their Speaker present to his Ex-
cellency the following Bills Viz.t

A Supplementary Act to the Act entitled an Act relating to the
Standard of English Weights and Measures.

An Act for the further Enlargement of Baltimore Town in Balti-
more County.

A Supplementary Act to the Act entitled an Act ascertaining what
Damages shall be allowed on Protested Bills of Exchange.

An Act to enable the Justices of St Mary's County Court to assess
& levy on the Taxable Inhabitants of St Andrews Parish, a Quantity
of Tobacco for building a Church & for other Purposes therein
mentioned.

An Act to enable the Justices of St Marys County Court to assess
and levy on the Taxable Inhabitants of All Faiths Parish a Quantity
of Tobacco and for other Purposes therein mentioned.
An Act for the Benefit of the Poor & Encouragement of Industry.
An Act for the building a Vestry House at St Pauls Church in
Kent County.
An Act to aid and revive the Proceedings of Caecil County Court.

An Act to impower Mary Covington Administratrix of Philip
Covington late of Somerset County deceased, to sell & dispose of
the Lands of the said Philip, & for other Purposes therein men-
tioned.
