May it please your Honours,
To answer the Royal Expectations, communicated to us by his

framed and passed the Bill which goes to your Honours with this

down with a Negative.

By the Upper House of Assembly, I3th April, 1762.
Gentlemen,

House journal pp 25-26]

pp. 4-6

A Message from the Lower to the Upper House, on the 15th of
April.
By the Lower House of Assembly.
May it please your Honours,
Your Message of the 13th Instant, is Matter of real Concern to
us, as it deprives us of all Hopes, for the present, of coming to an
Agreement with your Honours, about the Manner of raising Supplies
for his Majesty's service, [The message which begins thus is also
printed in full in the Lower House journal pp 127-130]

pp. 6-10

A Message from the Upper to the Lower House, on the 24th of
April.
By the Upper House of Assembly, 24th April, 1762.
Gentlemen,
Your Message of the Sixteenth Instant is of so extraordinary a
Nature, both in Language and Sentiment, and so unbecoming the
Representative of the People of Maryland, which, without the least
Foundation, sets up for an unrivalled Zeal for his Majesty's Service,
[The message which begins thus is also printed in full in the Upper
House journal pp 56-64]
