As it has never been a practice till lately in some Instances intro-
duced by your Honours to detain in your House any Bills Sent up
from this nor has it been Customary for this house to keep Copies
of such Bills we are the more Obliged to press you for a return of
this Bill which we cannot Submit to the Consideration of our Con-
stituents (as we are very desirous of doing) unless you will furnish
us with the Opportunity by sending it down to us.

On Motion ordered that those Clauses of the Inspection Law direct-
ing the manner Old Inspectors delivering up the Warehouses and
Tobacco to new Inspectors and those which require the Justices and
Inspectors to meet and the Justices to Order repairs of or additions
to the Warehouses be printed in the Maryland Gazette

On Motion Resolved that for the future this house will not take
into Consideration any Petition from the Inhabitants of any County

or Parish relative to the imposing any kind of Taxes, or erecting
any Publick Buildings, or other matter any way respecting the
General Interest of such County or Parish or particular Interest of
any part thereof unless it shall be made appear that two Months at
least before the Offering such petition to any person to be Subscribed
Advertisem^ts were set up at all the Churches and Chappels & Court
house of the Said County notyfying the Intention of Offering such
petition to be Subscribed in order to be preferred to this house

Gazette the Act for the Speedy recovery of Small debts out of Court
before one Justice of the peace which was passed this Session,

the Bill Ent.^d an Act for the Equitable payment of Money debts
The Bill Ent.^d an Act to restrain the Evil practice of continuing
Suits at Law on Suggestion &c.^a

and french papists and popish priests &c.^a
