Were Sent to the Upper house by Doctr Steuart & M.r Hammond
Dorsey

Mr Bealle brings in and delivers to Mr Speaker An Ingrossed Bill,
Ent,d an act for continuing the powers of Several Sheriffs & Col-
lectors, &c.a which was read and Assented to.
And an Ingrossed Bill, Ent, an Act Impowering the Justices of
Prince Georges & Charles Countys to raise a quantity of Tob.o &c.a
which was read and Assented to &. sent to the Upper house, with the
paper bills thereof by Mr Graham & Mr Steele
J. Ridout Esq.r from the Upper house delivers to M.r Speaker
the Several paper Bills The Ingrossed Bills of which had been Sever-
ally Read & Assented to by this House, which paper bills were Sever-
ally Indd By the Upper house of Assembly

The Ingrossed Bills, whereof this is the Original, is read and
assented to.

On Motion of Col.o Tilghman, leave given to bring in a Bill for
the Better regulation of Ordinarys & Ordinary keepers within this
Province, and to provide for the Defence and Security of the frontier
Inhabitants against the Incursions of the Indians
Ordered that Col. Tilghman M.r Johnson, M.r Ringgold Mr Han-
son and Mr J. Hall do prepare and bring in a Bill accordingly.
On Motion of Mr Ringgold, that a Message be prepared to the
Upper house Requesting them to return the College Bill to this house
that it may be printed.
Ordered, that M.r Ringgold, Mr Murdock & Col.o Tilghman do
prepare and bring in the same
Richard Lee & Ben.t Calvert Esqr from the upper house Acquaint
Mr Speaker that the Governor requires the Attendance of the Lower
House immediately in the Upper House.

Mr Speaker left the Chair, and attended by the rest of the Members
of the Lower house went to the Upper House, and presented to the
Governor the following Ingrossed Bills (Vizt)

An Ingrossed Bill Ent.d An Act for giving a Bounty for taking
Indian Prisoners and other purposes therein mentioned.
An Ingrossed Bill Ent.d An Act for prohibiting all trade with the
Indians for the time therein mentioned.
