Mr Ringgold brings in and delivers to Mr Speaker a Bill Ent.d
An Act for the Adjournment of Prince Georges County Court which
was read the first and second time by an especial Order and will pass.
The house Adjourns till the Morrow Morning at 9, of the Clock

Nov. 19

Saturday Morning 19.th Nov.r 1763.

The house met according to Adjournment, the Members were
called and all appeared as yesterday except M.r Harris and Mr Allen,
the proceedings were read
M.r Bealle brings in and delivers to Mr Speaker, a bill Ent an Act
to continue the power of Sheriffs and Collectors Under the Act Entd
An Act granting a Supply of 40000,lb for his Majestys Service and
Striking 34015...Ib6..0 thereof in Bills of Credit and raising a fund
for sinking the Same in collecting and accounting for the Several
Sums due in Virtue of that Act. which was read the first and second
time by especial Order and will pass and was Sent to the Upper
house by Mr Dulany & Mr Dorsey,
Mr Ringgold brings in and delivers to Mr Speaker a bill Entd
An act for the equitable payment of mony debts which was read the
first time and Ordered to lye on the Table

The Governor Communicated to Mr Speaker the following Message
(Vizt)

Gentlemen of the Lower house of Assembly
Having received Letters last Night by Express from a Member
of your House & Other persons who live in the Western part of
Frederick County whereby they inform me that the Incursion of a
party of Indians and Some Mischief they have lately done at a place
called the Cove either within or very near this Province hath thrown
our frontier Inhabitants into the greatest Consternation and that
unless an Armed force be Speedily sent to their Relief, there is great
reason to believe Numbers of them will desert their Habitations and
the frontier Settlement again become a Scene of Distress & Deso-
lation I think it incumbent on me to recommend their unhappy Con-

dition to your Serious Consideration and am hopes you will imme-
diately make such provision for their Relief and protection as might
encourage them to remain on their Plantations and Secure them from
the dreadful Calamities they have at present so much reason to
Apprehend.
