levy on the taxable persons of S.t Johns commonly called King Geo:

parish in the said County, the Sum of £56000 of Tobacco for the
necessary enlargement of their parish Church which was read the
first time and Ordered to lye on the Table

Mr Johnson brings in and delivers to Mr Speaker a Bill Ent.d an
Act for laying out and erecting a Town at Elkridge Landing in Ann.le
Cot.y which was read the first time & Ord.d to lye on the Table.

Mr Baker brings in and delivers to Mr Speaker the Report of fees
due to the Clerk and Serjeant for Services done by Order of the house
which was read the first & second time and the house Concurs there-
with
Bened.th Calvert Esqr from the Upper house delivers to M.r Speaker
the Bill Entd An Act for the Speedy Recovery of small debts out of
Court before one Justice of the peace and the following Message
(Vizt)
By the Upper house of Assembly 18.th Novr 1763.
Gentlemen

This house agrees to the Amendment proposed by you in your
Message of this day to the Bill Ent.d An Act for the Speedy recovery
of Small debts out of Court before one Justice of the Peace, and
return the Bill that the same amendment may be inserted therein

Which Message and bill being read. Ordered that the said Amend-
ment therein agreed to by the Upper house, be made which being
done the said bill with the Amendments passed for Ingrossing.

On Motion Ordered that this house do not proceed on any new
Business during this Session after this day.

On Motion leave given to bring in a Bill for the Adjournment of
Prince Georges County Court.

Ordered that Mr Ringgold Col.o Loyd & Mr Graham do prepare
and bring in the same.

The Bill Ent.d An Act for imposing an Add.l duty of ten pounds p
poll on all Negroes imported into this Province was read the 2.d time
and will pass.
