Friday Morning 18,th Novr 1763
The house met according to Adjournment &c.a
The Article in the Governors Acc,t referring to the Acc.tof
Doctor David Ross, for expences to the frontiers, is referred to the
Consideration of the next Assembly, Doctor Ross Acc.t not appearing
to the house.
Mr Hanson brings in and delivers to Mr Speaker a bill, Ent.d An
Act to prohibit the raising of Swine and Geese in Charles Town, in
Charles County, which was read the first & Second time by especial
Order, and will pass, and was Sent to the Upper house by Mr Dent
and Mr Smallwood.
Col.o Tilghman brings in and delivers to Mr Speaker, a Bill Ent,d
an Act for imposing an Additional duty of £10 p poll on all Negroes
imported into this Province which was read the first time, and
Ordered to lye on the Table,
An Ing.d bill, Ent,d an Act for amending the Staple of Tobacco
f or preventing frauds in his Majestys Customs and for the limitation
of Officers fees, was Sent to the upper house, with the paper Bill
thereof by Col.o Lloyd and Mr Plater,
The Bill Ent,d An Act to enable the Vestrymen & Church wardens
of the Parish of St Margarets Westminster, in Annll County for the
time being to Sell a tract of Land, therein mentioned and to Apply
the produce money arising by Such Sale towards the purchase of
another piece of Land to be made a Glebe for the Use of the Incum-
bent of that Parish and his Successors Ind.d By the Lower house
of Assembly 17th Novr 1763. Read the first time, and ordered to lye
on the Table, and thus By the Lower house of Assembly 17th Nov.r
1763 Read the 2d time by an Especial order, & will pass
The Bill, Ent.d An Act empowering Richard Richardson, of
Frederick County to Sell and dispose of the Lands which belonged
to Richard Richardson his deceased father, and to Apply the Money
arising therefrom to the Use of his Said fathers will
The Bill Ent.d An Act to Oblige persons who Officiate as Clerks
or Writers in the Publick Offices, to take the Oaths to the Govern-
ment, & for better Securing the Publick Records, and the Bill Ent.d
An Act for the better regulating Attachments, all which bills were
Sent to the Upper house by Mr Thomas & Mr Jacobs.

It being now three Weeks Since we Sent you the Bill for establish-
ing a College or Seminary of Learning, in this Province, we cannot
doubt but your Honours have duly Considered it, and are come to
some Resolution thereon if any Amendments to that Bill are by you
