The house Adjourns till the Morrow Morning at 9, of the Clock

Nov. 4

Friday Morning 4th Nov.r 1763

The house met according to adjournment & the Members were
Called & all appeared as yesterday; Except Mr Gray.
The proceedings were Read
M.r Magruder & Mr Henry Hall appeared in the house.
On Motion Resolved that when a Sufficient Number of Members to
Compose an house are met that the house do proceed to Business
notwithstanding the Absence of any

On Motion of Col.o Tilghman leave given to bring in a Bill for the
Speedy payment of such persons as have been Ordered to March to
the Western frontier of this Province for the defence thereof of the
Expences of Carriages & provisions for such persons and of Such as
have been put to the expences of quartering his Majestys Regular
fforces within this Province out of the public Money's now in hand.

Ordered that Col.o Tilghman Mr Ringgold, M.r J. Tilghman Colo
Loyd and Mr Bealle do prepare and bring in a Bill accordingly.

On Motion Ordered that the Accounts for the Charges and Ex-
pences of the Militia which were inserted on the Journal be taken
from it and inserted in the Bill Ordered to be brought in for that
purpose.

On Motion of Mr James Tilghman that An Address be prepared to
his Excellency requesting him to lay before this House any Instruction
he may have from his Majesty or his Ministers or from the Lord
proprietary by which he is restrained from giving his Assent to any
Regulation of Money in the Inspection Law

Ordered that Mr J. Tilghman Col.o Tilghman Mr Ringgold Mr
Hammond Mr J. Hall & Mr Murdock do prepare and bring in an
address accordingly.

Mr Murdock brings in and delivers to Mr Speaker an Address to
the Governor which was read approved and Ordered to be Ingrossed.

Col.o Tilghman brings in and delivers to Mr Speaker the following
Ingrossed Address (Vizt)

To his Excellency Horatio Sharpe Esq.r Governor & Commander in
Chief and Over the Province of Maryland.

The Humble Address of the house of Delegates
May it please your Excellency.

In a Message received yesterday from the Upper house Relative
to proposals which have passed between the two Houses for framing
a New Inspection Law, they are pleased to inform us that upon
Application to your Excellency, they were Satisfied by your Answer,
