the Petitioner have a Copy of his said petition, on Application to
the Clerk of this house

The Bill Ent.d An Act for the Security of purchasers & Others
being protestants Claiming by or from Aliens, was read the 2d time &
will pass

The Bill Entd a Supplementary Act to the Act Entd an Act for
erecting a County School in Worcester County & Appointing Visitors
for the same was Sent to the Upper house by Mr Harris & Mr Allen

p. 155

The Order of the day being Read, the house Referred the Con-
sideration of the petition of George Beall to Thursday the 10.th
Instant; and Ordered that the same be heard at the Bar of this house
at the Setting thereof on the Morning of the Same day, and that
the Commissioners, of George Town be personally Served with a
Copy of this Order, or if Absent from home by leaving a Copy thereof
at their house, or place of Residence on or before Monday next, being
the 7,th Instant and that a Copy of this Order be Affixed at the most
publick places in George Town on or before Monday Next, being the
7,th Instant, in Order that such affixing may be deemed Sufficient
notice to all persons interested, on an Affidavit thereof being made
produced to this house
The house Adjourns till 2, of the Clock

The house met according to Adjournment &c,a
Mr William Adams brings in and delivers to Mr Speaker, a bill
Entd an Act for the erecting a Town at the head of Wicomico River
in Somerset County, for laying into lots fifty Acres of Land in the
fork thereof and at the Landing formerly called Handys or Carrs
Landing; which was Read the first time & Ordered to lye on the
Table.
On Motion Ordered that a Summons be made Out by the Clerk of
this house for Thomas Prather, of Frederick County to appear before
the Committee of Grievances forthwith, and bring with him all such
Instructions as he hath at any time received relative to the laying out
leasing or receiving Rents of any part of his Lordships Manor of
Conococheague, and the Reserve thereto adjoining, or any other way,
relative to the Estates or possessions of the Tenants of any part of
the said Manor or Reserve,
On Motion of Col.o Tilghman leave given to bring in a Supple-
mentary Bill to the Act, Ent.d an Act relating to the Standard of
English Weights & Measures
Col.o Tilghman brings in and delivers to Mr Speaker a Bill Ent,d a
Supplementary act to the Act Entd An Act relating to the Standard of
English Weights & Measures which was read the first time, and
Ordered to lye on the Table
