On Motion of Col.o Tilghman, leave given to bring in a Bill to
take a Certain Sum of Money out of the paper Currency Office
towards the Support of a Free School in Frederick & Worcester
Countys.
Ordered that Col.o Tilghman, Mr Allen Col.o Cresap, & Mr Key
do prepare and bring in a Bill accordingly.
M.r Hayward Mr Magruder M.r Henry Baker & Mr Allen have
leave of Absence
The house adjourns till the Morrow Morning at 9, of the Clock

Saturday 29,th Oct,r 1763

The house met according Adjournment, the Members were called
and all appeared as Yesterday except M.r Paca Mr Magruder & Capt
Chapline.
The proceedings were Read
J. Ridout Esq.r from the Upper house delivers to Mr Speaker the
following Message.
By the Upper House of Assembly 29,th Oct,r 1763
Gentlemen
As we Observe by your Message of the 25,th that you admitt the
propriety of some of our Remarks on the Inspection Law [The
message which begins thus is printed in full in the Upper House
journal pp. 238-240]

The Bill Ent,d An Act for establishing a College, or Seminary of
Learning within this Province was Sent to the Upper house by Mr J.
Tilghman, & five more

The Order of the day being read, Ordered, that the petition of
John Stone Hawkins be referred to Thursday Morning next being
the third day of November, to be then heard at the Sitting of the
house.
On Reading the Message from the Upper house of this day, by
J. Ridout Esq.r
