Mr J. Tilghman brings in and delivers to Mr Speaker a Bill Ent.d
an Act for establishing a College or Seminary of Learning within
this Province which was read the first time and Ordered to lye on
the Table.
The house Adjourns till 2, of the Clock

Post Meridiem

The house met according to Adjournment &ca
Mr Dent and M.r Gantt appeared in the house, Mr Johnson has
leave of Absence
Col.o Tilghman brings in and delivers to Mr Speaker the Bill
Ent.d An Act for prohibiting all trade with the Indians for the time
therein mentioned with the Amendments made thereto proposed by
the Upper house which was read Agreed to and passed for In-
grossing.
The Order of the day being Read the house referred the petition
of many Subscribers and Inhabitants near Elk Ridge Landing for
an hearing at the Bar of this house on Monday afternoon being
the 31,st Instant and Ordered that the same be there heard after
the Call of the house.
On Motion Ordered that the petition of John Stone Hawkins be
taken into consideration on ffriday Next being the 28.th Instant.
Mr Dorsey has leave of Absence
The house Adjourns till the Morrow Morning at 9, of the Clock

The house met according to Adjournment, the Members were
Called and all appeared as yesterday, Except Mr Key. Mr Johnson &
Mr Dorsey.
The proceedings were read
On reading the petition of Daniel Cresap & Others, on Motion
of Col.o Tilghman, leave is given to bring in a Bill,
Ordered that Col.o Tilghman, Mr J. Tilghman & Coll.o Cresap
do prepare & bring in a Bill accordingly.

Oct. 25

On Motion Ordered that the Committee of Accounts at the time
they Report when the Treasurers made up their last Accounts, that
they include therein when the several Naval officers past their last
Accounts.

May it please your Honours.
We have taken your Message of the 18,th Instant, and the Re-
marks on the Inspection Law attending it, into our Consideration,
