Which bill was Indorsed will pass & Sent to the Upper House by
Mr Murdock & Mr J: Tilghman
On reading the Message of Yesterday from the Upper house
Benedict Calvert Esq.r and the Remarks therewith Sent.


Resolved that this house will take the same into consideration on
the Morrow Morning immediately after the Call of the house.
The house Adjourns till the Morrow Morning 9. of the Clock.

Wednesday 10.th Oct.r 1763

The house met according to Adjournment, the Members were
called and all appeared as yesterday, the proceedings were read.
Mr Sulivane appeared in the house
On Motion of M.r Bealle that Mr Charles Hammond Jun/ heir
at Law of Philip Hammond Esq.r concerned in point of Interest in
the facts set forth in the petition preferred to this house by many
Subscribers and others Inhabitants near Elk Ridge landing which
was ordered for an hearing this day at the Bar of this House of
which Mr Hammond had due Notice and accordingly attends & prays
that he may have a Copy of the Said petition from the Clerk of this
house
Ordered that a Copy be made by the Clerk accordingly, the order
of the day being read the house referred the petition of many Sub-
scribers and others Inhabitants near Elk ridge landing to be heard
at the Bar of this house on next Monday Afternoon after the Call
of the house

The Order of the day being read the house took into consideration
the Remarks on the Inspection Law made by the Upper house, and,
on Motion, the question was put, that this house doth agree to the
first Remarks. Resolved that this house doth not agree thereto
To the 2.d this house doth not agree
To the 3d this house doth agree
