And the bill Ent.d an Act continuing an Act Ent.d a Supplementary
Act to the Act Entd an Act ascertaining the heighth of fences to
prevent the evil occasioned by the multitude of horses and Restrain-
ing horse rangers within this province and to redress the great Evil
accruing to this Province by the multiplicity of useless horses Mares
and Colts that run in the Woods were severally read the Second
time and will pass.
The Bill Ent.d an Act continuing An Act Ent.d an Act for the
Speedy recovery of small debts out of Court before one Justice of the
peace was Referred for a Second Reading on the second day of
January 1764.
The house Adjourns till the Morrow Morning at 9. a Clock.

The house met according to adjournment &c.a
Mr Henry Baker Mr Waters and M.r Smallwood appeared in the
house.
Mr John Hammond hath leave of Absence Untill next Tuesday.
M.r John Hammond Dorsey hath leave of Absence for a few days.
Mr Gantt Mr Key and Mr Henry Hall have leave of Absence untill
next Monday.
On Motion leave given to bring in a bill for the preservation of
the Breed of fish in the rivers Susquehannah and Potomack.
Ordered that M.r H. Baker Mr Edmunson Mr J. Hall Mr Key and
Mr Johnson do prepare and bring in a Bill accordingly

Oct. 8

On Motion leave given to bring in a Bill for recovery of small
debts out of Court before one Justice of the peace.
Ordered that Mr Johnson Colo Tilghman Mr J Hall and Mr Ring-
gold do prepare and bring in the same.
The Bill Ent.d an Act continuing an Act Ent.d an Act for amend-
ing the Staple of Tobacco for preventing frauds in his Majestys
Customs and for the limitation of Officers fees and also of the Several
Acts relative thereto was sent to the Upper house by Mr Loyd and
Eleven more.
The Several bills that were read the 2.d time and passed yesterday
were sent this day to the Upper house by Mr Jacobs and Mr J. Adams.
Mr Johnson brings in and delivers to Mr Speaker a bill Ent.d an
Act continuing an Act Ent.d an Act to prevent persons from Secreting
boats flats and Other Vessels drove by Stress of Weather from
Landings and Moorings,
A Bill Ent.d an act continuing An Act Ent.d an Act to prevent
Masters of Ships and Vessels from clandestinely carrying Servants
