there is a Sum of Money in the Loan office Unappropriated which
hath been levid under the £40,000 Act for the Defence of the
Province and more will be paid in by Virtue of that Act, We
Proposed that such Monies may be Applied in the first Place to the
Purposes intended by your Bill, and that the Sums arising from the
Ordinary Lycences may be granted to make good any Deficiency
there may be after the Application of the monies above mentioned
in the Bill for the Regulation of Ordinary keepers be continued
Accordingly.

This House has appointed Daniel Dulany & John Ridout Esq.r
to join the Gentlemen you may name to agree for the Repairs of the
Publick buildings at the same time we think ourselves obliged to
mention that the Sum Proposed by you to be expended wherein is
not Sufficient to Procure all the Repairs that may be necessary and
therefore Propose to you that it may be Increased

The following Ordinance is brought from the Lower House by
Doct.r Steuart and Walter Dulany Esq.r
An Ordinance for the immediate repair of the Court House and
other Publick Buildings within the City of Annapolis
It is Ordained by His Excellency and the Upper and Lower Houses
of Assembly that a Sum not exceeding three hundred Pounds shall
be paid to Daniel Dulany, John Ridout, Walter Dulany, George
Steuart, and Brice Thomas Beale Worthington Esquires — by the
Treasurer of the Western Shore out of the Publick Money now in
his hands to be laid out by the Said Daniel Dulany, John Ridout,
Walter Dulany, George Steuart, and Brice Thomas Beale Worth-
ington Esquires — or any two or more of them for the immediate
and necessary Repairs of the Council House, Court House, Re-
