Seventeenth Day of July, Seventeen Hundred and Fifty-four, to

replace the like Sum of Money taken out of the Treasurer's Hands.

[The Assess-
ment Bill,
and Mes-
sages relating
thereto, to be
Printed.]

And be it further Enacted, by the Authority aforesaid, That the
said Jonas Green shall Print, Stitch, and Cover with Marble Paper,
blue Paper, Vellum or Parchment, the Bill, entituled, An Act for
granting a Supply of Forty-five Thousand Pounds for his Majesty's
Service, and for defraying the Expenses heretofore incurred for the
Defence and Security of the Frontier Inhabitants of this Province,
and for other Purposes therein mentioned, and for raising the
same by an equal Assessment upon all Estates Real and Personal,
and Lucrative Offices and Employments, together with the several
Messages relative thereto, and the same deliver by the last Day of
October next, in like Manner as the Votes and Proceedings of the
Lower House of Assembly are by this Act directed to be delivered,
one Copy thereof to the Governor, one other Copy thereof to each
Member of the Upper and Lower Houses of Assembly, one other
Copy thereof to the Clerk of each House of Assembly, and Three
Copies thereof to every Clerk of the several and respective County
Courts of this Province, for the Perusal of the Inhabitants of the
several and respective Counties.

This Act to continue till the Second Day of April which shall
be in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and
Sixty-five, and no longer.

An Act impowering the Justices of Baltimore County Court, to assess

and levy a Sum of Current Money, and for other Purposes
therein mentioned.

Ease.]

Upon Application made by Petition to this General Assembly, from
sundry Inhabitants of Saint Paul's Parish in Baltimore County, Be
it Enacted, by the Right Honourable the Lord Proprietary, by and
with the Advice and Consent of his Lordship's Governor, and the
Upper and Lower Houses of Assembly, and the Authority of the
same, That it shall and may be lawful to and for the Justices of
Baltimore County Court, for the Time being, and they are hereby
directed and required to assess and levy on the Taxable Inhabitants
of the aforesaid Parish, in the County aforesaid, the Sum of Six

hundred Pounds Current Money, together with the Sheriff's Salary

of Five Pounds per Cent for Collection, at Three equal annual
