a Session of Assembly, begun and held at the City of Annapolis, the
Third Day of June, Anno Domini One Thousand Seven Hundred
and Fifty Two, be, and is hereby continued, and shall be and remain
in full Force, for and during Three Years, and to the end of the
next Session of Assembly, which shall happen after the End of the
said Three Years.

An Act for erecting a Public Warehouse at Vienna Town, in Dor-
chester County.



Whereas it is represented to this General Assembly, by the Petition
of sundry of the Inhabitants of Dorchester County, that the In-
habitants thereof, on or near the River of Nanticoke, are greatly
distant from any Public Warehouse, and that erecting a Warehouse
at Vienna Town, on the Land of Mr. Joshua Edmondson, on the
said River, will conduce much to the Ease, Convenience and Benefit
of a great Number of Inhabitants of the same County ;

Be it Enacted, by the Right Honourable the Lord Proprietary,
by and with the Advice and Consent of his Lordship's Governor,
and the Upper and Lower Houses of Assembly, and the Authority
of the same, That the Justices of Dorchester County Court shall,
with all possible Speed, direct their Clerk to issue a Note in Writing
to the Sheriff of that County, who is hereby required to serve the
same, thereby signifying to the said Joshua Edmondson, that a Ware-
house is directed by Act of Assembly to be built on the Land of the
said Edmondson, at Vienna Town aforesaid, and thereby also re-
quiring the said Edmondson, if he thinks proper, to be and appear
before them, or any three or two of them, to be by the said Court
appointed for that Purpose, on a certain Day therein to be men-
tioned, which shall not, in Point of Time, exceed Ten Days, in Order
to agree with the said Joshua Edmondson for the Value of a Half
Acre of Land, and the said three Justices, or any two of them,
shall then lay off and ascertain a Half Acre of the Land of the
said Joshua Edmondson, at Vienna Town, for the Purpose afore-
said; and then and there the Justices aforesaid, in Case the said
Joshua Edmondson shall appear, shall demand, if he will build a
Warehouse and Wharf, and erect Prizes and Cranes at such Place,
and in Case the said Joshua Edmondson will undertake such Build-
ing, for the Rents, and on the Terms, that are mentioned in the
