On Motion, Leave was given, to bring in a Bill for destroying
Crows and Squirrels in Baltimore County:
Ordered, That Mr. Deye, Mr. Lee, Mr. Johnson, and Mr. Hay-
ward, do prepare and bring in the same.
On Motion, Ordered, That an Address of Condolance and Con-
gratulation be prepared to be presented to the King's Most Excellent
Majesty:

Ordered, That Mr. J. Tilghman, Mr. Ringgold, Mr. E. Tilghman,
Mr. Murdock, Mr. Hammond, Mr. Hayward, Mr. Hollyday, Mr.
Johnson, and Mr. J. Hall, do prepare and bring in the same.
On Motion, Ordered, That an Address be prepared to be presented
to his Excellency:

Ordered, That Mr. James Tilghman, and Mr. Ringgold, do pre-
pare and bring in the same.
Mr. James Tilghman brings in and delivers to Mr. Speaker, an
Address to his Excellency; which was Read, Approved, and Ordered
to be Ingrossed.
The Petition of the Rector, Vestrymen and Church-wardens of
St. James's Parish, in Anne-Arundel County, was Read the Second
Time:
Ordered, That Mr. Hammond, Mr. H. Hall, Mr. Johnson, and
Mr. Worthington, do prepare and bring in a Bill accordingly.
Mr. Ringgold brings in and delivers to Mr. Speaker, the following
Ingrossed Address:

To his Excellency Horatio Sharpe, Esq; Governor and Commander
in Chief in and over the Province of Maryland.

The humble Address of the House of Delegates.
May it please your Excellency,
We find ourselves under a Necessity of representing to your
Excellency, that so much of our Time this Session has been spent
on a Supply Bill for his Majesty's Service, that there still remains
before us such a Multiplicity of Business, and that of considerable
Importance to the Country, as we cannot possibly dispatch it by the
Time, you are pleased to mention in your Message of the 14th

p. 52

Instant, you proposed to put a Conclusion to this Session: And in
particular, that we think it our indispensible Duty to prepare an
Address of Condolance on the Death of his late most Glorious
Majesty, and of Congratulation on the happy Accession of our
present most Gracious Sovereign to the Throne, and on the joyful
Event of his Nuptials. For these Reasons, we cannot but request
that your Excellency will not put so speedy a Conclusion to this
Session, as you intended, but allow us Time sufficient to complete
the Business now before us; and as this Request is a Matter, wherein
not only our own Convenience, but the Interest of the Country, is
