The Message aforesaid was sent to the Upper House by Mr.
Edward Tilghman and Mr. J. J. Mackall.

Benedict Calvert, Esq; from the Upper House, delivers to Mr.
Speaker the following Message:

By the Upper House of Assembly, 15th April, 1762.
Gentlemen,

His Excellency having recommended it to us, to appoint some
Gentlemen to join such Members as may be named by you, to inspect
the Public Buildings, in Order that such Repairs may be made as
shall be thought necessary, we have thereupon nominated Richard
Lee, Esq; to join such Members as you shall appoint for that
Purpose.

Signed per Order, J. Ross, Cl. Up. Ho.

The Petition of Zaccheus Barrett was Read, and Granted, and
Leave was given to bring in a Bill accordingly.

Mr. Dorsey has Leave of Absence.

The House adjourns till 2 of the Clock.

Post-Meridiem. The House met according to Adjournment.

The Petition of the Inspectors at Emerson's Warehouse, in Talbot
County: The Petition of sundry Inhabitants of Talbot and Dor-
chester Counties: The Petition of the Vestrymen, and sundry others
of Port-Tobacco Parish, in Charles County: Were severally Read
the first Time, and Ordered to lie on the Table.
