Wednesday, April 14, 1762.

The House met according to Adjournment: The Members were
called, and all appeared as Yesterday. The Proceedings were Read.
Mr. Ringgold appears in the House.
On Motion for a Question, That Leave be given to bring in a Bill
for Levying, Paying and Cloathing Three Hundred Men, Officers
included, for his Majesty's Service, agreeable to his Majesty's Requi-
sition, signified by the Secretary of State's Letter, and also to Levy
Eighty-four Men for Recruiting his Majesty's Regiments on this
Continent, agreeable to the Requisition of Sir Jeffery Amherst, his
Majesty's General, and for defraying the Expences thereof, by ap-
plying thereto the several Sums of Money following, to wit,

The Sum of Two Thousand One Hundred and Twenty-


one Pounds, Part of the Sum which was appro-


priated for Scalps and Prisoners by the Act in 1756,

for granting Forty Thousand Pounds for his Maj-


esty's Service, which remains now in the Loan Office,


The Sum of £142 Sterling, and £100 Currency, now


remaining in the Hands of the Agents appointed

by that Act, in Current Money, .................


The Sum of £1999 paid into the Loan Office, by Virtue


of the Act for his Majesty's Service, made in 1754,
to replace the like Sum then taken out of the Trea-

Money in the Loan Office, .....................

The £1999 to be replaced in the Treasurer's Hands by a Con-
tinuation of the Ordinary Licences, after the Purposes of the Act
for granting Forty Thousand Pounds for his Majesty's Service,
are complied with.

The Question was put, That that Question be now put. Resolved
