    To All whome these prsents shall come greeting; Knowe Yee that LiberBNo. 1
  I Allexander King of the Countie of Sotherset in the Province of
  Maryland plantor; For the valluable Consideracon allready rec'd be
  fore the Signing & Sealing hereof, Doe hereby bargain & make sale
  of one black Cowe with a white starr in her Forehead Commonly
  Called by the Name of Starr, marked as FoIl: vizt; Cropt on the
  right ear with a slitt in the Crop & one s!itt in the left ear unto
  Nicolas Fountaine of the aforesaid Countie & province plantor; To
  have and to hold use receiue & Inioye the Said Cowe with her In
  crease for ever, unto the aforesaid Nicolas Fountaine his heires &
  assignes, Freely peaceably & quietly without any manner of reclaime
  Challenge or Contradiccon of me the Said A!lexander King my
  heires executrs or assignes, or of any other person or persons by my
  meanes title or procuremt in any manner or wayes & without any
  Accompt reckoning or answer therefore to me or any in my Name
  to be given rendred or donne in time to come but from all Accon of
  right, title, Claime, Interest, use, possession, & demand thereof I the
  Said Aliexander King my heires executrs or assignes to be utterly
  excluded & for ever Debarred; And I the Said Allexander King my
  heires executrs & admrs the good sale of the Said Cowe, unto the
  aforesaid Nicolas Fountaine his heires & assignes shall warrant by
  these presents; In Wittnes whereof I haue hereunto set my hand &
  seale this twenty eight day of January in the yeare of or Lord one

    Knowe All men by these presents that I Thomas Walley of the [p.
  Countie of Sothersett in the province of Maryland Chirugeon for
  Divers Causes & Consideracons me thereunto moving, haue made &
  by these presents Doe make ordaine Constitute & appointe my Lov
  ing Frind mr Randall Re veil of the Countie & province aforesd gent:
  to be my full & Lawfull attorney for me & in my name to aske gather
  receiue & Demand one Debt due to me upon bill from Lawrence
  Robinson Dated the 11th of Aprill A° D° 1667 For eight hundred
  pounds of tobacco & Caske or to the vallue hereof in beefe & porke
  to be pd unto me by the said Lawrence Robinson Living in Muddy
  Creeke; I doe also by these presents giue full power to this my fore
  said attorney to arrest sue plead & implead execucon out to take cast
  in prison & then againe to release the Said Lawrence Robbinson I
  Doe further by these prsents impower this my aforesaid attorney one
  attorney or more to make under him & them againe at his pleasure
  to revoke & what that this my foresd attorney shall Doe for me &
