642 Somerset County Court Proceedings, 1665 1668. LiberBNa 1 Att A Court heild 4th september for Sommersett County 1666 Comrs Present Mr William Stevens mr John Winder Capt William Thorne mr Henry Boston Mr Randall Revell this day brought before the Court Thomas Sawell his servant & desired the Judgemt of the Court for how long time he shoulld serue the Lad being asked how olld he was he said about seventeen & pffered the said Randall Revell to serue him from tht time seaven yeares; whereupon the Court advised mr Revell to accept of the said Tho: Sawell pifer who accordingly did accept of the said Tho: Sawell to serue him from the 4th of September one thousand six hundred sixty Six till 4th of September one thousand Six hundred Seaventy two [p. 341 Septembr the 19th A° 1666 Randall Revell entreth his action of debt agst Thomas Poole Mr George Johnson & mr James Joanes was taken att St Maries by the leiut: gennerall the 11th of September 1666 being subscribed & annexed to the oath in these words vizt) The abouesd oath was taken by George Johnson & James Joanes before me this 1 1th of septembr 1666: Charles Calvert Att A Court helld the 25th of September 1666 for the County of Sommersett in the province of Maryland Present Mr William Stevens Mr John Winder Capt William Thorne mr Henry Boston mr James Jones mr George Johnson Whereas Richard Allen Petitioned the Court Concerning Alce Whittly who was gonne from hym That he might either be diss charged from hym or else an ordr for her Longer stay where upon the Court doth ordr tht she shoulid stay with hym as alsoe that he shoulld not deliuer her Clothes nor any thinge of the goods belonging to the said Alce Whittly untill further order Att A Court helld the 25th of September 1666 for the County of Sommersett in the province of Maryland Present Mr William Stevens mr John Winder Capt William Thorne mr Henry Boston mr James Jones mr George Johnson Whereas John Cooper petitioned the Court tht his servant Susanna Brayfeeld had a bastard chilid & that she saith itt is John Griffitts |
