628 Somerset County Court Proceedings, 1665 1668. Liber B No.1 & one or about september last Sarah Elzey being att my house with mr Jordan I demanded of her what became of Peter Elzeys Cattle; & she answered answerd his brothr John Elzey had soulld some of them; but said she god willing I will make them good to him; this is truth to wch I subscribe & make oath to August the 16th A° 1665 George Parker Florence Parker aged 30 years or thereabouts saith tht Mrs Sarah Elzey said her husband John Elzey had disposed of some of Petr Elzeys Cattle & tht God willing she woulld make them good to him this is truth to wch I subscribe & Make oath to August the 16th A° 1665 Sworne in open Court Froranc Parker the 16th of August 1665 Teste Robt Hutchinson Cirke to Accomacke Entred the 3d July A° 1666 9th July A° 1666 These are in the Name of the Lord Proprief to will & require you to take by way of execution from Charles Ballard the within men tioned Cowes Calues & heifer for the use of Peter Elzey & then returne this writt & for soe doinge this shall be yor warrant given under or hands 9th July 1666 William Thorne These to be served by Thomas Ball John Winder July 11th A° 1666 Charles Ballard entreth his action of the Case agst Peter Elzey [p. 19] July the 11th Ao 1666 Randall Revell entreth his action of debt agst Charles Ballard Thomas Walley was one time att Ballards & she was talking of Peter Elzey going to Court for his Cowes & withall she said tht she woulld pswade mr Ballard to giue him one Cowe this year & a heifer wch is bought of me is for him the next year & Likewise she woulid pswade her husband if she Coulld Not to goe to Courte tht is all tht I haue to say Tho: Walley Sworne in open Court 3d Aprill 1666 Will Stevens Entred 3d July 1666 To All People to whome this present shall come I William Furnis of the easterne shore in the province of Maryland plantor send greet ing Know yee tht I the said William Furnis being of a good & perfect minde and without fraud & deceipt for divers good Causes & Con siderations me thereunto mooving haue given granted & Confirmed and by these prsence doe giue grante & Confirme unto Oliue Barre wife to Phillip Barre of Manonoakin in the province aforesaid plantor one Cow called Cherry being marked as Foll, vizt) Cropt & slitt in |
