Somerset County Court Proceedings, 1665 1668. 61 1 Nehemiah Covington against William Smyton in an action of the LiberBNo. 1 Case the 11th January 1665 John Roads against Henry Boston in an action of the Case 1th decembr 1665 John Bossman aged Fiueteen yeares sonne to William Bossman deceased the 11th of december 1665 att a Courte helld the same day att the howse of Thomas Poole in Manonoakin did then & there chuse John Nelison to be his Gardian Thomas Cotthingame against John Rods in an action of the Case the 10th January 1665 Nehemiah Covington against William Smyton in an action of the case the 10th of January 1665 The same day the defendant Smytons attourney Ambros Dickson and Randall Revell appeared & woulld haue come to a tryall and Nehemiah Covington suffered a nonsute the 10th January 1665 before the Court George Johnson & John Winder being prseflt Commrs for the proprietor; Att A Court helid att Thomas Poole Munday the 11th december in Mannoakin on the easterne shore in the province of Maryland the Comissionrs for the Lord proprietr being then present vizt; mr Stephen Horsey, Capt: Wiff Thorne, mr William Stevens, mr George John son, mr John Winder, mr James Jones, mr henry Boston This daye the Inhabitants moved the Court tht a parson might be nominated to keep the records and upon deliberat Consideration as to the necessessity of the thinge required; The Court doth hereupon thinke fltt & ordrs tht George Johnson keepe the records & tht they remayne att the said Johnsons howse in Anamessix To all people to whome this writing shall come wee Thomas Price [p.2J of Annamessix one the easterne shore in province of Maryland plantor & Katherinne his wife send greetinge Knowe yee tht wee Thomas Price and Katherinn his wife for & in Consideration of an obligation of three thousand flue hundred pounds of tobacco with Caske bearing date before the signing sealing & delivery of these presents, haue granted aliened bargained sould & Confirmed And by these presents doe grante alien & bargaine sell & Confirme unto Wil liam Plannor of Anamessix one the easterne shore in the province aforesaid plantor, all tht one parte or parsell of Land (called Plan nors purchase) scituate Lyeing & being in Anemessike riuer one the southermost side of the said river, beginning att a white Oake markt with eight Notches standinge a little belowe a bridge tht is over a Creeke called red cap creeke att the North side of the said Creeke from |
