Pattrick Moore Sworne & Examined in open Courtt Saith that
the Bargaine Between Capt George Hillston and Robertt Knape was
to be Sweetsented Tobacoe without Ground Leauesor seaconds
Petter Harrison Sworne & Examined Opon Courtt Saith that the
Bill passt by Robert Knape to Capt George Hillston was to be sweet
sented Tobacoe without ground leues or Seaconds

Robert Knape of this County Planter was Atached to Answear
William Morgan of the City of London Mariner tht whereas the
fore said Robert the 20th day of Febb Last Past aboard the good ship
Called the Hopewell of London Now Riding in St Micheall River
in the County aforesaid In Consideracon that he the said \Villiam
at the Speciall Instant & Request of him the said Robert had Bar
ganed sould & Deleuered unto him the said Robert one Suit of wear
ing Apearell for a man for the sum of six hundred pounds of good
Sound Marchantable sweetsented Tobacoe did assum upon himselfe
and then & there did Promis tht he the said Robert the aforesaid
sum of good sound Marchtable Sweet sented Tobacoe and Casske
to him the said William when he should be there unto Aifterward
Required would well and faithfully Pay and Content Yett the said
Robert his Promis and assumption little Regarding But Plotting
and fraudulently Intending him the said William of the fore said
suth of good sound Marchantable Sweete sented Tobacoe Craftyly
to deceaue and defraud & the same to pay hath Altogather Reffused
& doth yett Reffuse to the damadge of him the said William to the
vallue of Two Thousand of Tohacoe & thereupon he Brings his
suit &c
The Deffendt Saith he hath Paid the Plat his Tobacoe the Plats
Accknowledged the said sum to be Receued & without vewing of it
