of kent plantr doth acknowledge to haue sould & made sail unto
Charles steward of the Island afforesd one black & whitte Cow &
Calf e the Cow beeinge markt on the Right eare with a Cropp &
slitt in the Cropp & on the left eare Cropt & under keeld which
afforesd Cow & her increasse I the afforesd Martin doth by theise
prsents acknowledge a Free & firme sall by mee & from mee my
Heires Exec~ Admin or Assignes for euer unto the Afforesd stew
ard his Heires Execu~ Admin or Assignes for euer And furthr I the
afforesd Martin doth bynd mee my Heires Exec~ Admin or
Assignes to saue harmies & keepe indamniflied the afforesd Steward
from any molestation lett or hinderance of any pson or psons what
soeuer that shall by any Claime disquiet or molest him the sd Steward

The depossition of Anthonie Calloway Agged 26 yeares or theare
abouts taken in Court 1 1 m° first 1655 sworne examined & saith
That when mrs Broadnox Came horn from Virginia, the first night
yor deponent herd her tell mr Ringgoid tht Carline Cominge to Capt
Fleets & this woman wth him which hee Carried from Kent, Capt
Fleet puided lodginge for thm & for another man which was theare &
puided a bed for the twoe weomen the woman wth Carline & another
woman & mr Carline sd to tht woman tht hee Caried from Kent
Hunnie thou art acould wilt thou goe to bed shee sd no sweet hart,
& he tooke her in his armes And threw her upon the bed tht was
puided for Capt Fleet & the other stranger, & in the night Capt
Fleet heard thm make a noise & was verie angerie & Cald to his folkes
& bad turne thm out at dores, & tht the sd mr Carline did disown his
wife, beeinge verie Angrie sayinge tht shee had under the Cothisiors
