Talbot County Court Proceedings, 1662-1674. 501 Sheweth that yor Petticoń Did Admistor Medicin unto William Liber BB Benett to the vallue of Six hundred Pounds of tobacoe yot pettr No.2 Craues order for his debt & yor Petticon shall euer Pray The Courtt hath ordred that Owen Griffwith be paid Six hun dred Pounds of Tobacoe out of the estate of Wm: Benett Deceased To the worshipll the Comisscońs for Talbott County the humble Petticon of Wm: Mullings Sheweth that John Scott of Wye River Doth unjustly Detaine from yor Petticoń Six barells of Indian Corne & two Bushells of Beans which the said Scott hath of yor Petticońs in his hands yor Petticoń humble Craues that yor Worships would be pleased to take the Same into yor Serious Consideracon that he may haue Judg ment against the said Scott for his Cornes & Beans with Cost & Damages John Scott Accknowledges to pay Wm: Mullings foure hundred pounds of tobacoe the Courtt hath ordred that Jon Scott make present Paymt of foure hundred Pounds of tobacoe unto William mullings &c: John Eliott Petticons to this Courtt for Eight hundred Pounds [p. 181] of Tobacoe Due p Bill from the Estate of Sam” Sladen: the Courtt hath Ordered that Jn° Eliott bee Payd Eight hundred Pounds of tobacoe Out of the estate of Sam” Sladen Deceased Walter Rowles Petticon to this Courtt for flue hundred and fifty Pounds of Tobacoe Being the Remainder of a bill for Two Thou sand Pounds of tobacoe Due from Henry Mathews Walter Rowles Makes his Bill appeare The Courtt hath ordered that Henry Mathews make present Payment of flue hundrd and fifty Pounds of tobacoe unto Walter Rowles with Cost of Suite &c Mr Samll Winslow Petticon to this Courtt for one thousand and Seaven Pounds of tobacoe Due from Anthony Maile p Accompt Wheareas Anthony Mayle was Arested to a Courtt held the third Tusday in March & Nether Appeared According to his Refferance at June Courtt Nor this Courtt by himselfe nor Attorny, Mr Winslow Makes Oath to his Accompt The Courtt hath Ordred that Anthony Mayle make present paymt unto Mr Sam” Winslow One thousand and Seaven pounds of Tobacoe & Caske with Cost of sute Whereas Mary Benam Sarvant unto James Murphew hath Run away Severall day to the Nomber of Sixteen Besides more days her Master forgaue her the Courtt hath &rdred that the Said Mary Benam Sarve her Master James Murphew for each of them Sixteen days ten days p day according to law |
