48 Kent County Court Proceedings, 1648-1656. Liber A Called genttle and a yerlinge Coloured blacke Cald nancie; to my daughter Marie a heifer Called melinose twoe yeares ould & one sow and piggs that Capt~ Vaughan had giuen her formerly; And for the Rest of my Cattell the plantation moueables & Immoueables I giue to my Wife and further saith not Isa Iliue Nicolas Pickard aged [blank] yeares or theareabouts his depossi tion taken in Court the first of Januarie 1655 Sworne Examined and saith That at the same tym when mr Isake Iliue was with George Croutch in his sicknes yor deponent was allso prsent & heard the same words formerly exprest in Iliues depossition spoken or uttred by the sd Croutch & further saith not Nicholas pickard Jurat Corum Phill Conier [fol. 114] At a Court houlden for Kent Februarie the first 1655 At mr Tho: 12 55 Hinsons Phillip Connier Capt~ Jno Russell prsentCapt Jos: Wickes mr Wm Eliot Lmr Tho: Ringgold mr Hen Carline mr Tho: Broadnox Complaines agst Capt jos: Weickes for tak inge a Cannoo of his land The Complaint not proued; no Ordr past; mr Tho: Hinson pett the Court agst Jn° Deare For on thousand twoe hundred Eaighty flue pounds of tol5 & Caske in seuerall bills & accoumpts and aliso on thousand waight of beefe all which is longe since due & Craues Ordr for prsent payment with Costs of suit The debt beeinge proued and made appeare to the Court by the deffendants own acknowledgment tht the wholl Complaint both for the tob & beefe is Just and true The Court doth thearefore Order tht the sd John Deare, shall macke prsent payment to the sd mr Tho: Hinson of the on thousand twoe hundred Eaightie flue pounds of tob with Caske & the on thou sand pound waight of beefe with Court Charges els Execution Capt Jn° Russell Complaines against the Estat of mr Nicolas Broune desseassed for 50lb of tob due to him out of the said estate The Complaint beeinge proued The Court doth thearefor Order tht out of the Estat of the sd Broune prseflt payment bee made of fifty pounds of tob to Capt jn° Russell els Execution Capt~ Rob Vaughan Complaines against the Estat of mr Nicolas Broune desseassed for of tob due to him out of the said Estate The Complaint beeinge proued The Court doth thearefore Order tht out of the Estate of the sd Broune prsent payment bee made of thirty pounds of tob to Capt Rob Vaughan els Execution |
