   The deffendant by his Attorney Capt Russell dessires a Refference
   which the Court is pleassed to graunt

    Mathew Read hath made his Complaint that Joim Deare hath a
   tite Caske of his the which Caske he detaines & keeps from him
   The sd Read hauinge made his Complaint suflissiently to apear Just &
   true, tht the sd Caske is detaind as beef ore
    The Court doth thearefore Order tht the sd Deare shall deliü the
   sayd Caske to the sd Read at his dwellinge, or at mr Hinsons hous
   within this 10 dayes, or els Execution with Court Charges
    This Ordr was made the last Court and heare by a mistacke Ocas
   sioned by mr Hins & Eliot

    Know all men by theese presents that I Wm Leeds of the Isle of [fol. 106]
   Kent planter haue bargained sould & made ouer unto John Erickson m 55
   of the Isle of Kent planter his heires Executors Admin or Assignes
   all my Right tittle & Intreast of my part of the plantacon Adioininge
   unto Land of Mr Thomas Ward with all the housinge and priuilidges
   belonginge unto my part of the plantacon; And I the aforsd Wm
   Leedes doe binde my selfe my heires Executrs Admi~ or Assignes
   to giue & deliü unto the afforesd John Erickeson his heires Executors
   Administrs or Assignes as good an Assureance as to my selfe be
   longes, Only the sd Wm Leedes is to haue ground Cleard for seauen
   thousand plantes & housinge to Cure it in And to haue the priuilidge
   to abide in the plantacon from the date heareof untill the next
   Crope after this is fully flnsht which will bee in the yeare of Or
   lord 1656 only that I the sd william Leedes am to help build soe much
   housinge as shall bee wantinge for to Cure my Crope in, the sayd
   John Erickson to bee at the Charge of workmen & nailes & Car
   penters diet; & then the sd Erickson is to Enioy & posse sse the same
   his heires or Assignes foreuer & for the true pformance heareof I
   haue heare unto set my hand this tenth Day of Septembr 1655

    Wm Leedes hath acknowledged in Court the salle of fiftie ackers
   of land sould by him to Jn° Erickson
    John Erickson doth Confesse & acknowledg himselfe debitor to
   the said Wm Leed for the afforesayd land 400lb of tob & Caske
   prsent pay; And 1300lb of tob & Caske to bee payd accordinge to
   Condition the next ensuinge Croppe
