Know all men by thes presents that I Edward Leeke Marchant of
Rode Iland in new Ingland Doth Insttute apoynt & ordayne my
trusty and well beloued frind Joseph Weekes of the Ile of kent in the
province of Mariland my trew and lawfull atturny in all Causes & to
all Intents & porposes wtsoeuer in any Caus Matter or Acction
Whear in I may or shall bc in any kind Conserned, Giucing and grant
ing to my said atturny full poure to Arest seue Implead or Imprison
or otherwise art his Discrision to Compound Relece Aquite & Dis
charge any parson or parsons wtsoeuer in any Case or Acction unto
which I may be Conserned or princsipally Relateinge and I Doe Lik
wise further giue and grant unto my said Attorny full pouwre to
make choyce of Imploy and Impoure any other atturny or Atturnys
under hime if my said atturny shall se caus so to doe and hath f rely
and fermhy Accknowledge by thes presents to allow and Rattify and
Conferme what my said atturny or Atturnys shall lawfully Doe as

That he made a lawfull Bargan with Mr Edward Leeke for foure
hoggheds of tobaco and Likwise made a Deleuerey to Mr Leeake of
the said tobaco such as he exsepted of for Deliuery being in January
last somtime before Mr Browne Marked two hoggheds of them and
further saith not Wm Piper
