156Kent County Court Proceedings, 1656-1662. Liber B John Meconnikin hath turned ouer unto John Jenkins six hundred Pounds of Tot5 & Caske tht is due to him from the County the nex yeare, And to be Cast in to the Leuy wch is now owned in Court Teste me, John Cowrsey Clk Thes Presents Bindeth me Nicholas wadilo of the County of north Hampton in Virginia to deliuer unto Thomas Bradnox his Heires or Assignes upon the Isle of Kent in the Prouince of mariland at or before the last of Dec. next ensuinge the date hereof two suffitient men Saruants, wth all such necessary Clothinge & Bedinge as is accus tomary belonginge to saruants tht are Trancported into this Country this not under the Age of Eighteene And not exceedinge thirty, And like Condicon wise not lesse then lower or flue yeares to serue for his Apprentes ownd in ship or Longer time if it be doe from. the sd saruant for his Trans Court portac & to the true performance here of I bind me my Heires or Assignes will truly pforme as witnesse my hand this 22th of June 1658 Nicholas N wadilo Testes John Russell his marke william W williams his marke Recd this 15 day of Dec 1658 by me John Russell of Capt Thö Bradnox for A mare fole unto Nicholas wadeloe of Acamacke in Verginia the Just some of two Thousand Eight hundred Pounds of Tob & Caske I say reed the day & yeare aforesaid Rest due 40 me John Russell Acknowledged in open Court Teste me. John Cowrsey To all that shall see theis pTsents, or heare thm to be Read Sr Richard Chiuerton Knight Lord Maior of the City of London, & the Aldermen or Senatrs of the same Citty send greetinge Knowe yee that on the day of the date hereof there appeared, & psonally came, into the Court holden before us, in the Chamber of the Guildhall of the said Citty, Henry Hide of the Parish of Bennet Pauleswharfe London waterman, Aged sixty six years or there abouts, & Henry Bicke of the Parish of St Andrew in the wardrobe London waterman, Aged Fifty Fower yeares or there abouts beinge persons well knowne & worthy of good Creditt, who upon their Oaths, upon the Holy Euangalists of Almighty God before us then & there solemnly taken & made did say depose & Testifle for undoubted truth, That they haue knowne & beene Familiarly acquinted wth Robert Browne of the Parish of Margrets in Westminster in the County of Midd water man For the space of thirty yeares or more now last past, And did likewise well well know & ware familiarly acquinted wth one Nicholas Browne (who about Twenty Fower years since went hence into Ver ginia, and (as they heare) is there Latly decsd for diuers years before |
