148Kent County Court Proceedings, 1656-1662. Libcr B Mr Tho: Ringgoold versus [fol. 47] Peter Parker Thomas Ringgold haueinge Attached the Esstate of Peter Parker to the vallue of two thousand Fiue hundred pounds of Tob for a boate wch the sd Parker had from mr Ringgold ouer to Sciuerne, upon promise to make him satisfaction, but contrariwise the sd Parker ran away up the Bay wth the sd Boate, & beinge brought down by other psons to mr Tho: Ringgold againe, wch Boat was wantinge twelue dayes, wch he the sd Ringgold declares on oath, & that the rate he doth let or hire her forth, is twenty pounds of Tob p day, wth the losse of A Fishinge line rated at tenn pounds of Tob. The Court doth therefore Order tht the sd mr Ringgold shall haue Judgmt Against the Esstate of the sd Peter Parker for the some of two hundred & Fifty Pounds of Tob & Caske, wth the charges of the At tachmt & suyt Else Execucon Henry Ashley & Robt Gamer beinge prsented to this Court for default in not Plantinge of Corne, for Breach of the Acte in tht Case provided, The Court doth therefore order that They be Fined equally betwixt thm one hundred Pounds of Tob & Caske to the Constable & his Assistance wth Court Charges Else Execution. George Hall demandeth 50 Acres of Land as a guift from the Lord Pnopniatany, wch he testifieth on oath in open Count is not yet taken up on conuayed to any other pson. Will Dauies demandeth 50 Acres of Land as a guift from the Lord Propriatary wch he testifieth in Count is not yet taken up on conuayed away to any other pson. John Meconnikin demandeth 50 Acres of Land as a guift from the Lod Propniatary wch he testifieth on oath in Court is not yet taken up or Conuayed away to any other pson Richard Blunt demandeth want versus Antony Calloway in an Action of debt to the vallue of three hundred pounds of Tob & Caske & for this bringeth his suyte. Rich Blunt Plt. Anthony Calloway Deft. The Plant makinge appeare to the Court his Debt by bills to be two hundred forty & three Pounds of Tob & ten Pounds by Account, which the Defendt doth Acknowledge, the Count doth therefore order that the defendt shall pay to the Plantiue the sd Debt of two hundred Fifty & three Pounds of Tob, wth the Changes of the suyte Else Execun Gregory Murell demandeth wart versus Edd Hull in an Action of slander, & two suppenes. |
