Provincial Court Proceedings, 1664. 249 The Conueyance of land aboue specifyed was in open court the Liber B B 6th July last acknowledged and past ouer from and by Thomas Marsh of Ann Arundell County unto Capt Thomas Manning of the Clifts in Caluert County Daniel Jenifer Clarke 27 3/m 64 m This Indenture made the 15th day of Aprill in the yeare of Our Lord God 1664 Beetweene Francis Armstrong of the Clifts in Cal uert County Plantr and Frances Armstrong his wife of the one part and John Edmondson of the Clifts in Caluert County Merchant on the other pte Wittnesseth that the said Francis and Frances Arm strong hath Clearely Bargained and sold and by these prsents Clearely Bargaineth and selleth to the said John Edmondson Three hundred and fifty acres of land Called Sarke lying on the south side of Chop tanck riuer, lying betweene the land of Andrew Cooke and Thomas Todd as by the Pattent more att large appeares bearing date the A with all manner of Proffitts Gaines and Aduantages ariseing upon the same which hee or any prson or prsons to his use hath haue or had To haue and to hold the said land To the said Edmonds his heires and Assignes for euermore, And allsoe the said Armstrong hath Bargained and sold to the Edmonds The Pattent anent the said land, which land the said Armstrong waranteth to the said Edmonds and that hee hath lawfull power and Authority to Bar- game and sell the Premises from hime The said Armstrong and his [P. 313] heires for euer to him the saide Edmonds and his heires for euer warranty or warrantyes or otherwise as by the Learned Councell of the said Edmonds his heires or Assignes shall bee aduised all former Bargaines and Sales Joynters and Dowers leases and of all other incumbrances and Charge whatsoeuer they be except the rent to the Right Honble the Lord Proprietr And the said Armstrong from him and his heires for euer haue sold the said land to the saide Edmonds and his heires for euer In wittnes whereof the said Armstrong haue sett his hand and seale the day and yeare aboue written and like wise Frances his wife— the marke of Signed and sealed Francis Armstrong Seale in the prsence of the marke of Thomas Mannyng Frances Armstrong Seale Jos: Horsley • the marke of Thomas Backster ffrancis Waste The foregoeing Conueyance was by Francis Armstrong and by the Attorney of his wife Frances Armstrong (uizt) (Francis Riggs) acknowledged and past ouer unto Jno Edmonds in open Court the |
