[Council to Capt. Daniel Bryan]

You will proceed immediately to Wye River and apply to Charles
Blake Esqr for a Load of Flour; he has informed us a Quantity is
stored at Emmerson's Warehouse. The Letter accompanying this, is
for the Delivery of the Flour.

Tuesday 12th February 1782.

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Lieut John Chever
Eight pounds, twelve shillings of the Bills emitted under the Act for
the Emission of Bills of Credit &ca for Stores to the 1st Inst, on Acct
That the said Treasurer pay to Capt Gassaway Watkins twenty
two pounds ten shillings of the same Emission on Account
That the said Treasurer pay to John Dove nineteen pounds fifteen
shillings of the same Emission per Account passed. —
That the said Treasurer pay to John Hammond twenty two pounds
ten shillings specie for Wood supplied the soldiery at the poor House
per Account passed. —

We request you to apply to Major Yates for 7 or 8 Tons of Bar-
Iron which, Colo Ramsey informs us, belongs to the Public; which
you will sell for Specie, and transmit the Money to us.

We have desired Mr George Keeports to sell the Bar-Iron for
Specie, it will therefore be necessary for you to give Orders to de-
liver it to him.

Wednesday 13th February 1782

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Thomas Maffit
fifteen pounds, fifteen shillings — Lieut Isaac Hanson nine pounds
four shillings for rations — Charles Robosson one pound five shil-
lings and Robert John Smith twenty nine pounds, ten shillings of
the Bills emitted under the Act for the Emission of Bills of Credit
&ca due per Accounts passed. —

That the said Treasurer pay to Thomas Brooke Hodgkin seventy
five pounds of the same Emission on Account
That the said Treasurer pay to Richard Ridgely one hundred and
ninety six pounds, six shillings and eleven pence of the same Emission
for the use of Henry Dorsey Gough due him per Certificates issued
agreeable to the Act to adjust the Debts due from this State. —
