Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Benjamin Stod-
dert Esqr forty hhds of Tobacco weighing forty two thousand, seven
hundred and twenty seven pounds including four p Cent to be by him
Accounted for at fifteen shillings p Cent. —
Daniel of St Thomas Jenifer Esqr appeared before the Board in
compliance with the Act of Assembly appointing him Intendant of
the Revenue and all public Monies, and executed a Bond in the pen-
alty of twenty thousand pounds with William Smallwood & John
H Stone Securities agreeable to said Act and also took the Oath pre-
scribed therein —

Saturday 2d February 1782

Robert Couden appointed Assistant and Lewis Neth Clerk to the
Intendant appeared before the Board and produced Certificates of
their Qualification. —
Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Captain Robert
Denny ten pounds of the Bills emitted under the Act for the Emis-
sion of Bills of Credit &ca five pounds to be delivered to each of
George Findleston and Patrick Connor soldiers in the Maryland Line
lately returned from Captivity on Account. —
That the said Treasurer pay to James Williams, six hundred and
eight pounds, three shillings and two pence of the same Emission for
Certificates issued agreeable to the Act to adjust the Debts &ca as
settled by the Depy Audr
That the said Treasurer pay to John C Mackubin, four pounds,
five shillings and eight pence — Mary Darling Twenty shillings and
Mary Ransom two pounds of the same Emission due them per Ac-
counts passed by the Depy Aud —

Monday 4th February 1782

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Thomas Gassa-
way one hundred and one pounds, six shillings and four pence and
John Callahan ninety two pounds, three shillings and ten pence specie
for their last years Salary per Accts passed by the Aud Genl
That the said Treasurer pay to Major John Davidson twenty one
pounds, fourteen shillings and Capt Philemon Warfield twenty one
pounds of the Bills emitted under the Act for the Emission of Bills
of Credit &ca due them per Accts passed. —
That the said Treasurer pay to Lieut Colo Richard Harwood four
hundred and one pounds, nine shillings and two pence of the same
Emission for the use of Colo John Weems's Batt of Ann Arundel
County Militia per Account passed. —
