Commissions issued to Jeremiah Jordan, Vernon Hebb, Hanson
Briscoe, John Shanks, John Ireland, Ignatius Fenwick, Robert Watts,
Thomas Bond, William Killgour, John Mackall, John DeButts, and
Nicholas Lewis Sewall appointed Justices of the Peace for St Marys
County. —
The Justices of the Peace, and Judges of the Orphans Court are
reappointed and continued for Somerset County. —

In Council
The Chevalier D'Anmours having been recognized by the United
States in Congress Assembled, as Consul General of France in the
State aforesaid — We do therefore in Pursuance of the Directions of
the General Assembly recognize and Declare, the said Chevalier to
be Consul General of France for this State, and that the Privileges,
Preeminence and Authority belonging to such Character and Quality
are due to him. — Wm Paca
The Council adjourned 'till tomorrow morning 11 oClock. —
