That the Issuing Commissary issue rations to Samuel Tindell a
Soldier of the Maryland Line. —

Present His Excellency the Governor,
Ben j. Stoddert, Gabriel Duvall, Jer. T. Chase & James Brice
Esquires
Ordered that the western shore Treasurer issue a Certificate to
James Mackubin agreeable to the "Act proposing to the Citizens of
this State Creditors of Congress on Loan Office Certificates &ca " for
fifty two pounds, fourteen shillings and six pence, due him on Con-
tinental Loan Office Certificates adjusted by the Auditor General. —
That the said Treasurer pay to Jubb Fowler fifty pounds Current
Money for six Months Salary to 1st May last. —
Permission given to Mr Dennis Ryan of Baltimore to go to New
York with his Company of Comedians and the properties of his
Theatre. —

Thursday 5th June 1783.
Present his Excellency the Governor, and all Members
Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to William Payne,
nine pounds six shillings & eight pence & to Philip Rodenpealer eighty
nine pounds, seven shillings & four pence specie, agreeable to the
"Act to adjust the Debts due from this State," per Account & Certifi-
cate adjusted & passed. —

The Council Proceeded to fix the Allowance of an Agent pursuant
to the Directions of the Act of Assembly concerning the Stock in the
Bank of England belonging to this State, and it being moved to fix
and ascertain the Allowance to be made to the said Agent, the Ques-
tion was put on 2 per Cent — Determined in the Negative. —
The Question was then put on 4 per Cent —

Dissentient,
Because the Commission now agreed to be given, exceeds a
reasonable Compensation for the Service to be performed. Because

who would chearfully give all the Security, and execute all the Du-
ties required by the Act, for less than One p Cent. And because the
