pence specie due him for the Balance of his Salary as Councillor in
1781 per Account passed. —
That the said Treasurer pay to Stephen West One hundred and
six pounds, eighteen shillings and one penny specie agreeable to the
"Act to adjust the Debts due from this State " per Accounts passed
the 21st Instant. —

Benja Stoddert, Gabriel Duvall & John H. Stone Esqrs
The Permission given Captain Walter Belt the 15th of March
last to proceed with the Schooner Whynot to the City of New York
is returned and Permission given to the said Captain Walter Belt
of the said Schooner to pass from the City of Annapolis in the said
Vessel to the City of New York with a Cargo of Corn and Flour and
thence to bring back into this State any Goods or Effects, subject
Nevertheless to the Duties payable thereon by Law. Permission is
also granted to Mrs Curson to come in the said Vessel to the Port of
Baltimore and to bring with her any Effects. —

Permission given to James Tibbett Master of the Schooner Ad-
venture, a square sterned vessel ninety Tons burthen, navigated by
himself and eight Men to pass with the said Vessel from the Port
of Baltimore to the City of New York with a Load of Flour and
Tobacco and thence to bring back into this State any Goods or Ef-
fects, subject Nevertheless to the Duties payable thereon by Law. —

We beg Leave to congratulate the good People of
County, upon the Glorious Event of a General Cessation of Hostili-
ties among the Powers at War, which their Virtuous exertions have
so greatly contributed to bring about; and We desire you will an-
nounce it to them, on an appointed Day, by reading to them in the
most public place, the enclosed Proclamation. [See pages 398-400]
