and putred remittent fever, which is said to be contagious, and must
in a Short time prove fatal to many of them if Measures are not
taken to Supply them with Medicines and proper Diet. Humanity
will dictate to you the Necessity of procuring without delay the Sum
requested.

In Consequence of the Information in your Letter of the 5th In-
stant, we have requested the Intendant to furnish the Sum of fifty
Pounds, and which we request you will lay out in purchasing Neces-
saries for the sick Soldiers in such Manner as will most contribute
to alleviate their Distresses. We hope this Sum, through your Care
will answer their immediate Wants, a larger cannot be procured at
this time. We are much obliged by your Information, and the Atten-
tion which you have paid to the suffering Soldiers, and trust that your
Humanity will prompt a Continuance of it.

Present His Excellency and all Members. —
Ordered that the western shore Treasurer issue Certificates agree-
able to the "Act proposing to the Citizens of this State Creditors of
Congress on Loan Office Certificates &ca " to Ignatius Craycroft
for Two hundred and sixty six pounds, thirteen shillings and two
pence due him on Continental Loan Office certificates adjusted by the
Auditor General the 8th Instant. —
That the said Treasurer issue a Certificate agreeable to the Act
aforesaid to Christopher Lowndes Esqr for one hundred and twenty
six pounds, thirteen shillings and six pence due him on Contl Loan
Office Certificates adjusted by the Aud Genl —
That the said Treasurer pay to Robert Brent one hundred and
eleven pounds, four shillings and six pence specie agreeable to the
"Act to adjust the Debts due from this State " per Certificates ad-
justed by the Aud. Genl —
That the Intendant be requested to supply Jere. Sullivan, lately
Discharged from the 1st Regiment, with one Jackett one pair of
Overalls and one pair of Shoes. —
