Whereas Overton Carr of Prince Georges County, did on the .
16 Day of March 1781 enter into Bond with this Board in the penal
Sum of two thousand pounds gold or Silver, that he would not de-
part the County aforesaid without leave being first obtained of the
Governor and Council Be it known to whom it may concern, that
from a change of Circumstances it is no longer deemed necessary to
confine Mr Carr to the County aforesaid and he is therefore to go at
large and to remove from place to place as Business or Inclination
may prompt him, in the same manner he could have done previous to
executing the said Bond any thing contained therein to the Contrary
notwithstanding. —

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Daniel Bryan
Capt of the Plater ten pounds of the Bills emitted under the Act for
the Emission of Bills of Credit &ca of the money appropriated for the
Defence of the State on Account
Commissions issued to Samuel Chew, Richard Parran, Edward
Johnson, William Ireland, Walter Smith, Daniel Rawlings junr
Isaac Clare, James Heighe, Samuel Lane and William Allein ap-
pointed Justices of the peace for Calvert County and also to Samuel
Chew, Richard Parran, Edward Johnson, Walter Smith and James
Heighe appointed Judges of the Orphans Court for the County
aforesaid. —

Tuesday 8th January 1782

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Capt Robert
Denny five pounds of the Bills emitted under the Act for the Emis-
sion of Bills of Credit &ca of the money appropriated for the present
Campaign to be delivered over to Henry Lynn a soldier of the Mary-
land Artillery lately escaped from Captivity on Account
That the said Treasurer pay to Charles Carroll Barrr Esqr forty-
eight pounds, ten shillings of the same Emission, of the money
aforesd due him per Account passed by the Depy Aud.

That the said Treasurer pay to John Pool five hundred pounds of
the same Emission, of the money aforesaid to be delivered over to
John Smith Brookes Esqr Commissary of Prince Georges County on
Account
That the said Treasurer pay to David Stewart, thirty five pounds
of the same Emission, of the money aforesaid to be delivered over to
Edward Gaither junr on Account
