We are under the Necessity of requesting that you will pay to
Captn Daniel Bryan £40. in Addition to the £100. already paid him.

We have yours of yesterday, and in Consequence of it, now send
you enclosed, an Order on General Williams, Naval Officer for £40.
in Addition to the Order for £100. before given you. The sooner
you bring the Men here, the better; as it will be less expensive and
more secure, to keep them at this Place than at Baltimore.

Present as on Saturday. —
Permission given to Walter Roe of Baltimore County to solicit
Leave of His Excellency General Washington or the Commanding
Officer at Dobbs's Ferry to go to New York by Dobbs's Ferry, to
transact private Business and to return. —
Ordered that the western shore Treasurer issue a Certificate agree-
able to the "Act proposing to the Citizens of this State Creditors of
Congress on Loan Office Certificates &ca " to Samuel Thomas 3d for
sixteen pounds sixteen shillings and ten pence due on Continental
Loan Office Certificates adjusted by the Depy Aud.
That the said Treasurer pay to John Briley eight pounds, five shil-
lings specie agreeable to the "Act to adjust the Debt &ca " per Account
passed. —
That the said Treasurer pay to John Crisall, nine pounds out of
the money appd for the new Equipment of the Barges to procure
Fresh provisions for the Bargemen on Account. —

We request you will provide Barracks for twenty four Barge-
Men. You will please to do it immediately, as the Men are now in
the Stadt House, and very troublesome. If Barracks are not to be
had, they must be provided for agreeable to Law.
