[Wm Paca in Council to Honble Intendant]

We cannot form an Opinion on the Subject of your Letter, unless
you will favor us with the Reasons which induced your Assent to
the proposed Contract with Colo Rawlings.

[Wm Paca in Council to Capt Philemon Warfield]

We have agreed to give Colo Tootell two hundred Pounds of
Musquet Powder for one thousand Weight of Lead. You will be
pleased to deliver the Powder to him or his Order.

You will procure Barracks for Captn Frazier's & Captn Spedden's
Men, about seventy in Number.

Saturday 7th December 1782
Present as on Yesterday. John H. Stone Esqr attended.
Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to George Plater
ninety one pounds, two shillings and seven pence — and Thomas Hyde
forty pounds specie agreeable to the Act to adjust the Debts due from
this State per Certificate and Account passed. —
That the said Treasurer pay to Thomas Scott forty five pounds
eleven shillings and six pence Current Money due him on Account
passed. —
That the said Treasurer pay to Henry and Samuel Hutton three
pounds, ten shillings specie — & Jacob Reaser forty six pounds, five
shillings and nine pence specie due them per Accounts passed. —
That the said Treasurer pay to Jonathan Parker six pounds, one
shilling and six pence specie due for riding Express per Account
passed. —
That the said Treasurer pay to Thomas Johnson Junr two hundred
and thirty pounds specie out of the money appropriated for the
Barges to be applied in part pay of the Crews of the Barges on
Account.
That the Commissary of Provisions deliver to Nicholas Thomas
Esquire five hundred and seventy three Bushels and one third of a
Bushel of Wheat at Baltimore Town — Robert H. Harrison Esqr one
thousand Bushels of Wheat and Benjamin Stoddert Esqr three hun-
dred and thirty three Bushels and one third of a Bushel of Wheat at
Baltimore Town or the Head of Elk on Account of their last Year's
Salary. —

Commission of Letters of Marque and Reprisal issued to Tobias
Stansbury Commander of the Schooner Dispatch, one hundred and
thirty Tons burthen navigated by thirty men, mounting six Carriage
Guns, belonging to David Stewart and others of Baltimore. —
