On Friday the 15th of November 1782 The General Assembly of
Maryland proceeded to the Choice of a Governor, when the Honor-
able William Paca Esquire was elected; and on Saturday the 16th of
the same Month the General Assembly elected the following Gentle-
men Council to the Governor, Benjamin C. Stoddert, Gabriel Duvall,
Jeremiah Townly Chase, James Brice and John Hoskins Stone
Esquires. —

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Samuel Duvall
fifty three pounds specie per Account passed. —

Wednesday 20th November 1782

Present as on Yesterday. —
Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Doctr James
Murray two hundred and forty seven pounds, fourteen shillings and
ten pence Specie agreeable to the "Act to adjust the Debts due from
this State " per Account passed the 9th Instant.
That the said Treasurer pay to Mary Ann Blackwell forty seven
pounds, three shillings, and John Derochbroom five pounds six
shillings and eight pence, specie agreeable to the Act aforesaid per
Account & Certs adjusted. —
