Ordered that the Commissary of Provisions deliver to Colo
Nathaniel Ramsey for the use of the Commissioners for the preser-
vation and Sale of Confiscated British Property, three thousand
Bushels of Wheat at Baltimore Town or the Head of Elk on
Account of their Commissions. —

Friday 8th November 1782

Ordered that the Commissary of Provisions deliver to His Ex-
cellency Thomas Sim Lee Esquire six hundred and sixty six Bushels
and two thirds of a Bushel of Wheat at Baltimore Town or the Head
of Elk on Account of his Salary. —
That the western shore Treasurer pay to Dorsey, Wheeler &ca
one hundred and sixty five pounds, nine shillings and ten pence
specie out of the twenty thousand pounds appropriated for the Pay-
ment of Creditors of a particular description due them on a Certifi-
cate issued agreeable to the "Act to adjust the Debts due from this
State."
That the said Treasurer pay to Brice T. B. Worthington Esqr ten
pounds, one shilling and eight pence — and Frisby Freeland twenty one
Pounds, seventeen shillings specie agreeable to the Act to adjust the
Debts due from this State per Accounts passed. —

[Council to Thomas Harwood Esqr, Treasr W. Shore]

In Answer to your Letter of the 15th Septr requesting our Advice,
as to what Certificates are to be received in Payment for the Manors
sold for the Redemption of the Certificates of the Maryland Troops ;
we are of Opinion that all Certificates in the Possession of the Per-
sons to whom granted, and those granted to discharged Soldiers
and the Representatives of deceased Soldiers, and all Certificates
transferred and attested by the Officer commanding the Regiment to
which the Assignor belongs, or the Officer commanding Troops at
particular Posts or Stations, ought to be taken. Many Cases may

come under your Cognizance which may not at present occur to us,
so that we cannot give our Opinion and Advice until the particular
Case is defined; should you hereafter meet with any other Difficulty
and refer it to us, we will express our Opinion with Chearfulness.

Saturday 9th November 1782

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Doctr James
Murray two hundred and fifty pounds, Current Money for Medicines
&ca supplied the Hospital to be by him Accounted for. —
That the said Treasurer pay to Archibald Golder eighty three
pounds Current money due him on Account passed. —
