of Flour, which you are to order to Mr Paca's on Wye Island, where
the Provisions will be delivered by Charles Blake Esqr Commissary
for Queen Ann's County, or some Person acting for him. Should
there be any Difficulty in the Execution of this Order, we request you
to apply to the Commanding Officer for a sufficient Number of Regu-
lars to enforce it.

We have just received a Letter from Robert Morris Esqr Super-
intendant of the Finances, requesting that all the public Wheat may
be manufactured into merchantable Flour. We would have you com-
ply with this Request and give Directions accordingly to the several
Commissaries

[Council to Thomas B. Hodgkin Esqr]

By a Resolution of the General Assembly of the 8th we are re-
quested to direct the Officer who has the Superintendance of the
public Records, now at Elk Ridge Landing, to cause the same to be
removed to the City of Annapolis as soon as the same can conveni-
ently be done, and that proper Packages be provided at public Ex-
pence, for the removing the Records. In Compliance with this Reso-
lution, we request you to have all the public Records in your Posses-
sion transported without Delay, to this City; all Expences arising
thereon will be paid by an Order on the Treasury.

[Council to Messrs George Salmon & Thomas Usher.]

A Difference has arisen between the Governor and Council, in
Behalf of the State, and Colo Samuel Smith, on the Settlement of
an Account for the Charter of the Brig Cato, forced on Shore by the
Enemy in Patuxent. With the Consent of the said Colo Smith, we
have agreed to leave the Account to you to be setled, consonant to
the Agreement and the Usage and Custom of Merchants. For the
Purpose, you have enclosed the Agreement and the Protest made by
the Captain. We shall be much obliged to you to undertake the Settle-
ment of the Account, and to transmit us your Determination, with
the Papers furnished you, as soon as possible.

one pound, Six Shillings of the Bills emitted under the Act of the
