That the said Treasurer pay to Thomas McEldery fifty five
Pounds specie out of the money appropriated for equipping & fitting
out the Barges for one hhd Rum furnished them per Acct passed. —
That the said Treasurer pay to John Woolf seven Pounds ten
shillings Specie due him per Account passed. —
That the Eastern shore Treasurer pay over to the western shore
Treasurer two hundred & eighty seven thousand, eight hundred and
ninety five Pounds Crop, twenty four thousand five hundred & forty
two pounds transfer Tobacco — two thousand three hundred & twenty
four pounds, two shillings and two Pence farthing specie — ninety
seven Pounds, ten shillings in bank Notes & two thousand three
hundred & forty seven Pounds, eleven shillings of the Bills emitted
under the Act for the Emission of Bills of Credit &ca. —
That the western shore Treasurer pay to Henry Dickinson Esqr
one hundred & seven Pounds, seventeen shillings & eight pence specie
agreeable to the Act to adjust the Debts due from this State per Certa
passed. —

be returned in a few Days. —
Commission of Letters of Marque & Reprisal issued to Charles
Harrison Commander of the Ship Jolly Tar, two hundred & eighty
Tons burthen, navigated by sixty five Men, mounting fourteen
Carriage Guns, belonging to Messrs Henry Messennior & J. C.
Zollickoffer of Baltimore, and to John Carey Commander of the
Brigantine New Orleans, one hundred & sixteen Tons burthen, navi-
gated by eighteen Men, mounting two Carriage Guns belonging to
John Baptist McCarty of New Orleans & Robert Smith of the
Havana. —

We are honored with yours of Yesterday. The Ship Matilda has
passed this Place, but the Officer sent by Monsr De la Villebrune
intends to proceed down the Bay, and we have given him our Instruc-
tions to search all the Vessels, and we hope he will be successful.

[Council to The Commanders of the outward bound Vessels from
Maryland]
Commodore De la Villebrune having lost several Seamen whom
he suspects have got on Board some of the Vessels, outward bound.
It is our Request that you will permit Mr Chauin, an Officer of the
Romulus, to search your Vessel as it is likely the Men may have got
on Board without your Knowledge.
