[Council to Honble Intendant]

We requested you in our Letter of the 3d to inform us what
Specifics could be spared from other Services, to enable us to make
sundry Purchases to a considerable Amount, as directed by an Act
of the last Session, but have not yet been favored with your Answer.

Tuesday 23d July 1782

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Vilett Rich
eighteen Pounds one shilling and eight pence of the Bills emitted
under the Act for the Emission of Bills of Credit &ca for the use of
Samuel Hadley per Account passed.

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Capt Robert
Denny thirteen Pounds, ten shillings specie directed to be advanced
by the Act relating to Public Creditors to be delivered over to Capt
Jacob Brice on Account.

We request you will deliver to Capt. Frazier for the Use of his
Barge, the two Field Pieces which were in the Possession of the
Special Council.

We have received yours of the 19th Instant. When the Order was
given to Mr Paca, he was told there was no Money in the Treasury,
and to apply to the Intendant, who we had no Doubt would let him
have Specifics on the same Terms he disposed of them to other
Creditors : if you will forward the Order we will endeavour to get
you Specifics for it.

Wednesday 24th July 1782

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Jeremiah T. Chase
Esqr thirty seven Pounds ten shillings of the Bills emitted under the

Act for the Emission of Bills of Credit &ca on Account.

That the said Treasurer pay to Solomon Jones twenty four Pounds,
fourteen shillings of the same Emission, four Pounds eight shillings
to be paid over to James Langly, three Pounds, seventeen shillings to
James Smith, seven Pounds, six shillings to James Payne and the
residue nine pounds, three shillings to Jacob Beane due them per
Accounts passed.
That the said Treasurer pay to Benjamin Williams forty four
Pounds, fourteen shillings of the same Emission to be delivered over
as follows, one Pound sixteen shillings to Richard Taylor, one Pound
ten shillings to Richard Thompson, five Pounds, fifteen shillings and
