the Colours Bay, black, brown, grey and Sorrell, and not under 14 1/2
Hands high, to be strong, active, well formed and clear of Blemish or
Defect. It will be necessary for you to give public Notice, that the
Inhabitants of the several Counties on your Shore may have an
Opportunity of paying Horses for the Specie Tax. You will have
the Horses, when collected, put out to Pasture and have them well
fed, and the Expence thereof will be paid you in Specie.

Tuesday 9th July 1782

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Capt John Smith
of the late 6th Regiment forty seven Pounds, eighteen shillings and
nine Pence of the Bills emitted under the Act for the Emission of
Bills of Credit &ca for Stores to the 1st Instant on Account.

That the said Treasurer pay to Robert Johnson twelve Pounds,
three shillings & four Pence, & Charles Cole ten Pounds, ten shillings
of the same Emission due them per Accounts passed.

That the said Treasurer pay to Nathan Waters thirty eight Pounds,
five shillings and two pence of the same Emission due him per Certifi-
cates and Account passed.
That the said Treasurer pay to Samuel Turbutt Wright Esqr
nineteen Pounds, seventeen shillings and ten Pence of the same Emis-
sion to be delivered over to Cornelius Coghlan due him per Account
passed.
That the said Treasurer pay to Sarah Middleton seventy five
Pounds Specie on Account of Capt Wm Middleton a prisoner in
England on Acct.

Hamilton Twenty five Pounds of the Bills emitted under the Act for
the Emission of Bills of Credit &ca on Account.

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Nicholas Sewall
thirty three Pounds, seven shillings and four pence of the Bills
emitted under the Act for the Emission of Bills of Credit &ca twenty
five Pounds, sixteen shillings to be by him retained for manufactur-
ing Salt and the residue to be delivered over to Nicholas Levin
Sewall due him per Accounts passed.
That the said Treasurer pay to Thomas Allen, twelve Pounds one
shilling and nine Pence, Bartholomew Roach one Pound and George
Clarke five Pounds of the same Emission due them per Accounts
passed.
