A Letter from Lieutenant Pendergast to you, requesting to be
furnished with some Necessaries for House Keeping, has been laid
before this Board. We know not what the Officers in Quarters, or
Garrison Towns, are entitled to by the Regulations of Congress. We
intend to write to the Secretary at War on this Subject, mean Time
we will endeavour to supply them with such necessary Articles as you
may require.

You will furnish to the Order of the Honble Messrs William Paca,
Robert Goldsborough, and Matthew Tilghman, or any two of them,
such Arms and military Stores, as they may deem necessary for
fitting out the Barges. We have requested Mr Poe to lend you such
Things for this Purpose, as he may have in Possession belonging to

[Council to Mr David Poe]
We understand you have in your Hands some Cannon and military
Stores belonging to the Continent. Probably Mr Keeports will have
Occasion to borrow same for fitting out the Barges, in which Case,
we wish you to supply him on Account of the State, and we will
have what you lend him, replaced in Time, or get Congress to ratify
the Loan.
