the Act for the Emission of Bills of Credit &ca to be delivered over
to Lieut William Stinchecomb for the use of the Militia under his
Command per Pay roll examined and passed.
That the said Treasurer pay to Michael Lawson seventeen Pounds
and three pence of the same Emission to be delivered over to Luke
Barnwell per Certificate adjusted and passed.
That the said Treasurer pay to James Maccubbin Clerk of the
Senate twenty five pounds of the same Emission in lieu of an Order
of the 21st February last on Benjamin Griffith Esqr Commissary of
Baltimore County for sixty six and two third Bushels of Wheat and
also Twenty five Pounds of the same Emission in part of his Salary
on Account.
That the said Treasurer pay to Thomas King Esquire fifty one
pounds, seventeen shillings and two pence of the same Emission,
fourteen pounds, seven shillings and eight pence thereof to be by
him retained and the residue to be delivered over to Nehemiah King
and Francis King per Certificates adjusted and passed.
Permission is hereby granted to Thomas Naydin of Prince Georges
County in the State of Maryland to apply to His Excellency Genl
Washington or the Commanding Officers at the out Posts of the
American Army, for Licence to go into the City of New York for
the purpose of obtaining a Passage from thence to Great Britain and
to take with him his Wife Hester Naydin and Daughter about seven
Years of Age.

We have the Honor of your Excellency's Letter of the 24th ult0
Immediately on the Arrival of the British Prisoners, we dispatched
them, under a regular Guard, to York Town, in Pennsylvania, the
Place allotted by the Congress for the British Prisoners. We lament
the great Loss sustained, by the Escape of so many Prisoners, and
have taken every prudent Measure to guard against similar Ac-
cidents.

indebted to your Humanity. Permit us Sir, to make you our warmest
