That the said Treasurer pay to Samuel T. Wright Esquire forty
five pounds, and Benjamin Stoddert Esqr seventy five pounds of the
same Emission in part of their Salaries on Account.
That the said Treasurer pay to Burton Whitcroft and John
Knapp, each, four pounds of the same Emission for four Days assist-
ing the Council Coppying.
That the said Treasurer pay to Capt Robert Denny sixty Pounds
of the same Emission to be paid over to the soldiers of the Maryland
Line now in Annapolis, each, three Dollars, to be accounted for.

[Council to General Smallwood]

Ensign Hawkins applies to us for a Horse, and Money to bear
his Expences to York. We have no hard Money, but if you will
advance him what you deem a sufficient Sum, we will replace it in a
short Time. As the Horse, should you think it proper to furnish one,
Mr Bullen has some in his Hands belonging to the Continent, subject
to your Order or Mr Poe, we imagine, could supply one at Baltimore.

Monday 6th May 1782

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to William Somervill
five hundred and forty nine pounds, ten shillings and six pence
specie agreeable to the Act to adjust the Debts due from this State,
per Certificates adjusted and passed.
That the said Treasurer pay to William Townsend, twelve Pounds,
six shillings and nine pence of the Bills emitted under the Act for
the Emission of Bills of Credit &ca due him per Account passed.
That the said Treasurer pay to William Somervill five hundred and
forty nine pounds, ten shillings and six pence and James Calhoun
sixteen pounds, fourteen shillings of the same Emission due on
Certificates issued agreeable to the Act to adjust the Debts due from
this State.
